The Seymour-Tisdell-Straubs

Our family is composed of Trish and Jon, 11-year old Sydney, Twin two year olds and our black lab, Sully. Mike (Syd's dad) is around quite a bit too. We'd started this blog as a way of keeping up with our family and friends, please feel free to share the URL.

My B-day

My sister (with some assistance from the rest of my fab-fam) threw me a semi-surprise party for the big 3-0 on saturday night. It was very family friendly with lots of kids. It took place at Tweeds, a restaurant in Worcester. Some pictures from the night.....

Sydney's toast:
"Through thick and thin, tough and easy, there you were, my mother.
At the age of unicorns and fairytales, you were known as mommy.
And in a few years time, on playgrounds, swings and slides, you were dubbed Mama.
At this age of boys, of Barbies, of make up, you may be called mother.
But no matter what you are called, you will always have a special place in my heart, my mother."

From the left: My mom, me, Syd, Juan and Colin, Jen and sister Erin.

Everyone seated. There were some fun activities including Trish-jeopardy, favorite and funniest Trish memories - a great celebration on my 30 awesome years! Thanks Roberta and everyone who attended.

Bill & Avanti

My brother Bill and his long time S.O. Avanti have finally decided to get married. Bill proposed to Avanti in traditional style on the beach in Texas while visiting Avanti's family. We are so thrilled and think they make such a great couple. Plus its fun to say "Auntie Avanti!"
Above is a photo from NYC in February last year.

Tummy Time

We HATE Tummy Time!

Turn the volume down unless you want to hear Tricia's "mommy voice!"

Easter

We hosted this year and had the Tisdells, Seymours and Flores over for dinner. We had a great time and people stuck around to help with our yard clean up and watch babies afterwards. Our yard was still a disaster zone from the December ice storm. Thanks everyone!

The Pain

We have really good girls, really. But like all babies they have a fussy time which is usually 1-2 hours before bed. No problem if we are both home but I've come to dread the days that Jon is on call because the last thing you want to do after a day with twins is spend two hours with crying babies that you just can't comfort (not to mention that this crying occurs during the majority of time I have to spend with Syd). The above picture shows one of our "techniques" for getting a moments reprieve during this time.
So if you are ever in Holden between 6:00 and 8pm swing by and hold a screamer!
