The Seymour-Tisdell-Straubs
Our family is composed of Trish and Jon, 11-year old Sydney, Twin two year olds and our black lab, Sully. Mike (Syd's dad) is around quite a bit too. We'd started this blog as a way of keeping up with our family and friends, please feel free to share the URL.

Update!
The blog has been neglected but I'm hoping to still make an occasional entry. We're back into the full swing of dual residencies and parenting three children - everyday is an adventure! We thought we'd catch you up on some summer activities.
Sydney and her friend Courtney were on the town swim team this year. It was Syd's first time swimming competitively and she's definitely found her sport. She did awesome. You can see her below swimming the backstroke in the far lane at a home meet.
We held a little surprise shower for Shara (who has done well enough to be totally off bedrest now) with family and close friends. Here she is at her party with Charlotte. We can't wait for LaPointe baby #2.
You may notice that Charlotte looks a little cross-eyed in this photo. This is happening alot less frequently now that she's older but she is seeing an ophthalmologist this coming monday to check things out.
Here's Lauren with baby cross-eyes.

Ciara and Maddy continue to be good buddies and are equally obsessed with buckles. They spent about 20 minutes doing and undoing these car seat buckles at Shara's shower.
We got to see all of my siblings, their children, significant others and two of my cousins and their families this past weekend for a little lobster fest at my parents. I think I was most excited to get the girls together with Colin who they spent so much time with as newborns. Here they are in the playpen together.
aerial view. It was interesting because Colin wanted their toys and they only wanted to play with Colin's toys - I guess babies like novelty.
Daddy and Ella at Sydney's championship swim meet.
We have something of a morning routine now where Jon and I alternately get ready for work and hang out with the babies on our bed in the hour after waking up which is what I'm doing in this early morning photo.
Although they're doing pretty well sitting on their own we still need the boppies behind them for occasional loss of balance. They spend lots of time on the floor just playing with toys.
The twins loved this ring toy at Shara's house so I had to buy one for us. You can see how much Charlotte likes playing with it!

We actually had a very scary episode with Ella this past weekend where she had a severe allergic reaction to something and her lips, eyes and face swelled up very quickly. We jumped in the car and Jon drove like a madman to the ER where she was treated very promptly. She was on daily steroids for a while but we still don't know what the precipitant was. Until we see the allergist its back to breastmilk only!
