Pregnancy news

We're halfway there! Its about 20 wks which is typically more than 1/2 way for twins (usually born at 36 wks instead of the usual 40). We had a anatomical survey this past week which looks perfect - definitely identical girls! As soon as I get the pictures scanned I'll post some pictures. I'm finally feeling a little better, though this is nothing like the awesome 1st pregnancy I had with Sydney. (hmmm....could it be the residency work hours, being 10 years older or the fact that there are two of them?!) I didn't realize how lucky I was back then.

We're excited but there is so much to do before they come - getting the nursery done, getting the basement finished in order to get the office out of the nursery!

We will have ultrasounds every three weeks and continue to see the obstetrician every three weeks as well. I was very disappointed that I had to leave my family practitioner (they don't do twins) but my OB is great. He was a resident when I was an OB student. Thank God both his clinic and the ultrasound clinic are in the hospital I work in!

Maternity/Back to school shopping trip

Erin, Ciara, Roberta, My Mom, Sydney and I all spent a Saturday at the Wrentham outlets doing a little back to school/maternity clothes shopping. I was really there for the company and Syd's shopping because I've gotten great maternity clothes from my slew of baby making girlfriends and really have needed nothing.

Weddings

We only attended three weddings this summer (a record low!). Here are pictures from two of them:

The friday of Labor day weekend we joined the Tisdells for Kyla (Jon's cousin) and Jason's wedding at the Crane Estate in Ipswich, Ma. What a gorgeous wedding and location.

We stayed with the Tisdells at a cute motel right on the river - the weather was awesome. Here's Sydney ready for the wedding.

Sydney seated for dinner. The food was amazing with a pasta station, a meat/fish station and a salad station - all made to order.

I don't have any pictures of Jon because he joined us a little later in the evening.

On the other side of the state I attended Laura (medical school friend) and Alex's nuptiuals in Pittsfield, Ma on Sunday night. Unfortunately, Jon was not able to attend because he was working.
