Erin's labor was a difficult one!

We were so happy that Darcy made it in time for the birth. Here's the nervous dad just prior to the delivery. Looks pretty calm!

I'm thrilled to announce the arrival of my first niece:

9lbs 2oz

delivered via C-section after 40 hrs of labor :(

We have great pictures but I left my camera cord at the hospital and can't download them yet!

Sully swims

After hanging out at camp in July with some other family dogs, Sully learned to swim (like a lab should!) and has really taken to swimming whenever he is near the water since. He seems to most enjoy the splashing however.

invisible fencing adventure

So we "invisibly fenced in" our entire 2.7 acres of property for the benefit of our dog, Sully. However after one "static correction" (as the company calls it) Sully wouldn't come out of the house voluntarily for 4 days. He's finally getting the hand of it now so I think we'll be okay, we'll keep you posted.

Recorder time

Sydney is so excited that she will be learning to play the recorder this year! They finally received them last week and this purple recorder hasn't left her mouth since!

She clearly enjoys making music.
