The Seymour-Tisdell-Straubs

Our family is composed of Trish and Jon, 11-year old Sydney, Twin two year olds and our black lab, Sully. Mike (Syd's dad) is around quite a bit too. We'd started this blog as a way of keeping up with our family and friends, please feel free to share the URL.

The Kulkarni-Seymour Extravaganza

Billy's longtime girlfriend and her family visited with my parents last weekend (all the way from Houston). Sadly, I missed the entire event being at work, but I have just now received great pictures from Avanti's father, Pramod.

Late night dinner in Boston on Friday.
Bill, Aseem, and Bill Sr. out on the Boat saturday morning.

Avanti, Bill and Aseem at the shore.

Feasting on the lobsters Bill and Pramod hauled in.

Apparently, Roberta and Mom think something is funny!

Jyoti is a "professional level" ping pong player, I have been told.

My dad getting the "slap-down" from Jyoti. That's the part of the weekend I most regret missing!

Kulkarnis and Seymours.
I get the feeling that this isn't the last time these families will get together.......

Cute pup

I love how Sully waits for me at the top of the basement stairs everytime I go down there. He's just so cute!

I'm really struggling to find time for posts.....but I'll keep blogging whenever I can.

Internship is going so well.....I LOVE my job! What I don't like is seeing less of Sydney but she's having a blast at Shara and Brian's this week, I'll post pictures from Shara when she gets back.

Take your children to work day

Auntie Roberta invited Sydney to come to a "take your children to work day" event at Roberta's Boston office in the Prudential Center. Sydney was very excited about spending the day in the business world. The kids had many activities planned including some time on the observation deck and session where they made commercials for accenture.
Finally, someone in the family understands what Roberta does for a living!
(sorry the pictures are teeny-tiny...I had to snag them from snapfish...)

Hardly working....

Even though I'm at work it hasn't been a particularly "fertile" day. I'm psyched that I have time to add a post from the hospital!

This past weekend Roberta and I threw a shower for Ciara and Erin at Erin and Darcy's place. Some people made very long trips to be with us, (thanks Heather, Shara and Meghan!). I know Erin was really touched by the effort people made to join us. Some pictures from the event below:

Erin opens her Irish-themed gift from Heather.
Darcy loved it!

Meghan, Shara, Sydney and Heather look on as Erin opens some gifts.

Sydney reads over Auntie Erin's shoulder. She's not sure how she feels about no longer being the one and only grandchild......

Meghan, Heather and Shara chat.

Summer

I don't have any pictures for you today but I'd love to tell you about my week so far.

I'm having so much fun on the labor and delivery floor! I still feel pretty incompetent but I'm sure I'll get the hand of it soon....and when people say, "Doctor?" I still look around for who they're asking for.....

Sydney is spending her summer doing what she did two years ago when I was on my surgery rotation: that is, she's spending time with various relatives one week at a time. She has time booked with my sibs, parents, in FL with Mike's parents and a week with Shara. Should be fun!(for her - its always miserable for me when she's away....)

This week she's with Erin and I went down and spent the night and morning with them since Wednesday was my day off this week. We had a blast at the beach swimming in the waves this morning and headed over to my parents' house for lunch.

I'll have more pictures soon!
